Shopping Center Rebirth

When an old shopping center needed a new boost, the Stonefield team was able to assist. The shopping center had been vacant for years along a busy corridor at 12 Mile & John R in Madison Heights. Stonefield’s team of professionals worked with local City officials to come up with traffic patterns to would reduce conflicting traffic movements exiting the site. Our firm prepared Municipal Approval Documents to walk the City through a having a new retailer in the market and its overall impact to the surrounding community and adjacent properties. This provided development that is in line with the existing corridor while being in a different zoning district than similar developments. Demolition of the existing shopping center building began during the winter so that major site improvements and building pad preparation could start during the spring. The teams preparation beforehand reduced construction conflicts to allow for the building and property to be ready for the grand opening in the Fall the same year.
