During the due diligence period for a proposed Wawa in Roselle, NJ the Stonefield Team identified that there was an open stream channel that traversed the property that could potentially limit development objectives. Meetings were held with the NJDEP to confirm that permits to close the channel were obtainable. Stonefield set out to design a layout that would meet Wawa standards and meet the requirements set forth by the NJDEP. The layout was designed to position the store on one side of the channel and the fuel canopy on the other side. A structural engineer was brought onto the team to design a concrete slab that spans the channel allowing the space to be utilized for parking. The site is currently under construction.
